kicking back

life is pretty good and relaxing right now. :)

rheumatology. yawn yawn. i've not seen an SLE patient so far although my case report is supposed to be on that. sucks! but i'm learning loads (or as much as one can learn in rheumatology) and i guess it's a good preview of 4th year. the registrar who's in charge of me is so brilliant and dedicated but she's off to manchester royal in august. :( but she really really thoroughly deserves it. good on her. she is by far the best registrar (possibly even the best doctor) who has ever taught me.
world cup! sucks too. i don't know why i've always had the tendency to support england even though they're a bunch of spoilt clowns. i should really switch teams. or forget about the world cup and just watch wimbledon. :)
things coming up this week alone:
- bbc symphony orchestra on wednesday
- more house-viewing (i'm moving! finally - my own place. i want to bake and use the oven as much as i like)
- glasgow over the weekend
and then the week will be over and i will have 2 weeks left before i go home. :)

here are some pretty pics of Uni that we took when we howai and kwan came to visit. the only time that this part of campus would be made significant to me is when i graduate in 2012 (oh man please let me graduate in 2012), because this is where convocations are held.

lake windermere

3rd year is unofficially over! i will only declare it official when i complete my current SSC (on SLE) and get my ass back home july 11th. ;) i. can. not. wait. any. longer.

but i must.

so after my OSCE last week (which was somewhat of a disaster, let's not go there), i went to the lake district with tr, ben, ho wai and amrita. we were at lake windermere which is apparently the largest natural lake in england. it was a lovely, lovely day out. the sun was shining brightly and the sky was surprisingly clear! definitely going again - possibly not to windermere next time around but to other lakes in the district, the untouched and less commercialised ones.

Psalm 139:7-12

my final osce's in salford on thursday and i've never felt so nervous for anything in my entire life. i don't know what this is - i've been through much worse i'm sure; but i've had such a fantastic year and i've learned as much as i could have, i really don't want to screw this up. i want to end this year on a high.

so i turned to Someone whom i've not turned to in a very long time. and i feel so guilty because it's as though i only turn to Him when i'm in distress. but He is always there no matter what and He truly comforts me like no one else does. today's Our Daily Bread article reminds us that there is help nearby from a Friend who is stronger than everybody else, a Friend whose hand we can hold when we are in need. just call out to Him, "Give me your hand!" and He will rush to our sides.

and like everyone has been telling me time and again: there is no way we could fail this exam unless we go into every station and do NOTHING! i've been doing my work and i have God leading the way. i have nothing to fear. so what is my problem?!
